Thanksgiving 02'

I have had a very special Thanksgiving in the year 2002. Let me walk through what I did with you....

This year, I have spent my thanksgiving holiday with the Smith family (Justin's family). Justin is my friend from work who started in the same training program in the same company as me. He is one of the most interesting persons I've ever met. An engineer who skydives, scuba-dives, struggled in a 3rd world and taught English.... Not to mention he's fluent in Spanish, English and Japanese. Crazy, isn't it?

His family is from Grand Rapids, Michigan. As his sister, Amanda, is also in Florida, So they decided to celebrate Thanksgiving in Florida this year.

We stayed in a very nice house in Naples, Florida, owned by a friend of Justin's parents, Jack and Susan.  Jack and Susan are both very knowledgeable and friendly people. I've learned so much from them in that few days.

At Thanksgiving day, we went out to the beach nearby. That was a beautiful day so we rode in the convertible and enjoy the lovely weather. The beach was nice and well-maintained. Though the water was too cold to swim, we could still just hang-out and sun-bath.  After a nice beach-walk , we went back and got dressed for the Thanksgiving dinner at the club-house . Susan and Jack figured that we might need extrordinary vision during Thanksgiving, thus they got everybody a pair of "Harry Potter" glasses . The world did change magically with those glasses...  =D

We went out to the ocean at a sail boat another day. That was the first time I was in a Sail Boat. It was very cool! I even got the chance to take the wheel for a while ~! We sailed around the nearby bay area a and saw a lot of multi-million worth houses. Luxurious!  We also saw wild dolphins!!! They were even swimming with us! They were so close that we almost can pet them! We headed back after we sunset .

There was one night that we stayed in the house and cooked dinner. Jack made some very delicious shrimps and salmon for us while Justin was pretending to help . Good times!

Fun, isn't it? I would like to thank the Smiths for giving me such incredible memories. If I have the chance I'll go to Grand Rapids and visit you guys later!
